Visual Health Information ( VHI ) has been creating reproducible exercise
collections in card and computer exercise software since 1980. Over 160,000
rehabilitation and fitness professionals use these tools on a daily basis. Our
exercise software and cards can be found in hospitals, inpatient and outpatient
physical therapy clinics, occupational therapy departments, chiropractic clinics,
sports medicine clinics, health clubs, schools and universities.
These tools have been designed to be utilized by professionals such as physical
& occupational therapists, pediatric therapists, speech therapists,
athletic trainers, fitness trainers, personal trainers, and chiropractors.
VHI’s illustrations are considered the standard in the industry. VHI collections
cover topics such as orthopedic, geriatric and pediatric physical therapy,
balance, assisted exercises, tubing, ball, aquatics, closed chain,
activities of daily living, strength training, stretching, pilates,
yoga, plyometrics, core stability, medicine ball, foam roller, stabilization,
functional exercises and much more.
VHI now has two new evidence based products. The VHI Evidence Based Exercise
Prescription Newsletter brings together all the latest evidence based research on
exercises tested with specific conditions. The second product is the evidence based
QuickNotes. QuickNotes is a marketing tool used to educate referral sources about
the importance of exercise in treating musculoskeletal conditions commonly seen by
physicians.
With funding from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), VHI has motion captured
over 6,000 rehabilitation and fitness exercises. We have currently animated over
3,000 high quality motion captured exercise animations. Each animation comes in
male/female in Caucasian, African American, Hispanic and Asian.
