Terms of use Agreement for the free VISUAL HEALTH INFORMATION Inc. Newsletter:
To subscribe to this free Newsletter, you (User) must understand and agree to the following:
(1) Restricted Use of Materials: VHI is the owner of all right, title, and interest in the
Newsletter, including copyright, redistribution rights and the right to produce the Newsletter
in alternate media. User shall not copy or disseminate the Newsletter whether electronically
or otherwise to any person, firm, corporation, association, or other entity for any reason or
purpose, unless permitted in writing by VHI.
(2) WARNING: VHI is not a licensed physician, physical therapist, or other medical professional.
By producing the Newsletter, VHI is neither recommending nor endorsing the treatment or medical
procedures set forth in the Newsletter. VHI recognizes that each patient is unique, with unique
medical needs, and VHI makes no representations or warranties that the exercises and treatment
herein are applicable to the symptoms of every patient. The content expressed in the Newsletter
is peer-reviewed, but VHI reminds the User that the Newsletter is for educational purposes only,
and VHI strongly advises the User to use his or her own discretion and apply his or her own
medical expertise before deciding whether and how to employ the treatment or procedures set
forth in the Newsletter. The User does hereby release and discharge VHI from all claims, demands,
damages, costs, expenses, injuries, and causes of action arising from any act or occurrence
relating to the use of the information set forth in the Newsletter. User understands and accepts
that User’s use of the exercises and/or treatment procedures set forth in the Newsletter will
be used at User’s own risk.
(3) Exercises: The exercises included in the newsletters are intended only as a sampling of
exercises from the different VHI exercise collections that might be relevant to the topic discussed.
Their inclusion in the newsletters does not represent any rehabilitation protocols or any suggested
exercise progression that could be used with patients. Using the order of the exercises to create a
rehabilitation program for patients is inappropriate and could result in serious injury. I understand
this and agree not to use this publication as rehabilitation protocols with patients or clients.
(4) Animation: The Newsletter may provide high quality animated exercises, done with motion capture.
VHI reminds the User that these animations are intended solely to help assist the User in understanding
the exercise.
(5) VHI Emails: By entering into this Agreement, User understands and agrees that User will
receive emails from VHI on VHI products. User may opt out of receiving such emails, but in doing so,
User’s subscription to the Newsletter will immediately terminate. Once User has opted out, User’s
access to the Newsletter will be denied until User subsequently opts back in under these same terms,
at which point User’s subscription will be renewed.
(6) Certification: I certify that I have read and understand the foregoing. I certify that
I am a medical professional, certified exercise specialist, or other licensed and/or certified fitness
professional, and that I have been trained and fully understand the principles of prescribing safe
exercise programs. I agree to the above terms. Required.
