VHI PC-Kits Network Edition
System Requirements for
Client-Server Installation

Server
|
|

The server must be running Windows NT 4.0 (SP6)/2000/XP/2003 or Vista.

The server must have between 200-500 MB of free hard drive space depending on what components are installed.

A Pentium 200 MHz or faster is required, 400 MHz is recommended.

A minimum of 64 MB of RAM is required, 256 MB is recommended.

It is recommended that this machine be backed up on a regular basis, to protect your database from being lost in a system crash.

If your network is connected to the Internet, it is highly recommended that this machine be behind a firewall or proxy server for security reasons.

Workstations:

The workstation must be running Windows 98/ME or Windows NT 4.0 (SP6)/2000/XP/Vista with Internet Explorer 4.01 Service Pack 2 (or newer) installed.

The workstation must have between 50MB and 500MB of free hard drive space (depending on how many kits you’ve purchased).

A Pentium 166 MHz or faster is required, 266 MHz is recommended.

A minimum of 32 MB of RAM is required, 64 MB is recommended.

NOTE: The above workstation requirements do not necessarily apply when installing VHI PC-Kits in a Citrix/Terminal Server environment or when the workstations are installed to “Run from Server” (such as the case with a diskless workstation).
