VHI PC-Kits Network Edition
System Requirements for Peer-to-Peer Installation
|
|
|
Primary Workstation:
|
|
-
The workstation must be turned on while anyone in your office is using VHI PC-Kits.
-
The workstation must be running Windows NT 4.0 (SP6)/2000/XP/2003/Vista with Internet Explorer 4.01 Service Pack 2 (or newer) installed.
-
The workstation must have between 200MB and 500MB free hard drive space (depending on how many kits you’ve purchased).
-
A Pentium 200 MHz or faster is required, 400 MHz is recommended.
-
It is recommended that this be on a machine that is backed up on a regular basis, to protect your database from being lost in a system crash.
-
If your network is connected to the Internet, it is highly recommended that this machine be behind a firewall or proxy server for security reasons.

Additional Workstations:
|
|
-
The workstation must be running Windows 98/ME or Windows NT 4.0 (SP6)/2000/XP with Internet Explorer 4.01 Service Pack 2 (or newer) installed.
The workstation must have between 50MB and 500MB free hard drive space (depending on how many kits you’ve purchased).
-
A Pentium 166 MHz or faster is required, 266 MHz is recommended.
-
A minimum of 32 MB of RAM is required, 64 MB is recommended.
-
Since the shared database does not reside on these additional workstations, backing them up is not necessary to protect your PC-Kits data from a system crash.
